Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomes efforts aiming at development of innovation policies generating economic growth and strengthening Poland’s presence in a global world. Innovation is indicated next to economic modernization as one of the tasks in the document entitled ‘Polish Foreign Policy Priorities for 2012-2016’. Development of cooperation in innovation with our strategic partner, the US, is high on the agenda of bilateral relations between Poland and the US. Ministry of Foreign Affairs has participated in the process of a creation of the PL-US Innovation Program from its early beginning that is a framework signed by Secretary of State John Kerry and then-Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski in June 2014. The first meeting of the PL-US Innovation Council, a body managing the Program, was convened during the Polish Innovation Week in California organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in November 2014. The Ministry remains engaged in the works on the PL-US Innovation Program led by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
